Five Hawks voted to All-WACBA Teams

The Worcester Area Collegiate Basketball Association released their 2017 All-WACBA Teams on Wednesday, and befitting their successful seasons, individuals from both the Becker men's and women's basketball teams were represented for their outstanding accomplishments.

On the men's side, junior forward Samuel Durodola (Rosedale, N.Y. / Campus Magnet) and senior guard Kyle Credle (Queens, N.Y. / Benjamin N. Cardozo) were named to the All-WACBA First Team while sophomore guard Kareem Davis (Lowell, Mass. / St. John's) was voted to the Second Team. The trio led the Hawks to their first NECC Championship since 2012 as well as a berth in the NCAA Tournament. Durodola was named conference Player of the Year, while he and Credle both made All-NECC First Team. Davis was named Most Valuable Player of the NECC Tournament after scoring 31 points in the championship game.

For the women, freshman guard Cassidy Harrison (Foxborough, Mass. / Foxborough) was named All-WACBA First Team while sophomore forward Adrianna Dowdy (East Haven, Conn. / Hill Regional Career) made the Second Team. The two helped lead the Hawks to their best season since joining the NECC, as Becker finished third in the standings and reached the conference semifinals. Harrison was voted NECC Rookie of the Year while both made the All-NECC Third Team.

Becker women's basketball head coach David Bostick was named co-Coach of the Year after guiding the Hawks to their best season.

The awards are voted on by athletics media communications representatives of each of the nine WACBA institutions, as well as three members of the local media.
