Senior attacker Blake Boutiette (Burrillville, R.I. / Burriville) of the Becker College men's lacrosse team has been named the New England Collegiate Conference Player of the Year in a postseason vote by conference coaches.
Boutiette had a sensational final season for the Hawks, as he was the NECC's leading scorer in the regular season with 32 goals and 17 assists. The senior led Becker to the conference semifinals. Boutiette became the seventh player in Becker history to reach 100 goals for his career this season.
Joining Boutiette on the All-Conference team were junior defender Nicholas Mariano (Cranston, R.I. / Bishop Hendricken) and senior defender Bryan Parsons (Shrewsbury, Mass. / Hebron Academy).
Junior midfielder Blake Gordon (East Greenbush, N.Y. / LaSalle Institute) was named to the NECC Sportsmanship Team.
Congratulations to all the honorees.
