Frank Forcucci

Frank Forcucci

Frank Forcucci has been the head coach at Becker College since the fall of 2015, having spent the previous three seasons as the Associate Head Coach and defensive coordinator.

In 2019, Forcucci and the Hawks produced the best start in program history by winning their opening two games of the season against Anna Maria College and Worcester State University. It marks the only time the football program has started a season 2-0.

A star recruit of his, running back Randy Morgan, rewrote the record books at the position in his freshman season. Among his accomplishments, Morgan broke program records in rushing yards in a season (1,124), rushing yards per game (112.4), and most rushing attempts in a season (228). By season's end, Morgan was named the Commonwealth Coast Conference Offensive Rookie of the Year and placed on the CCC All-Conference Second Team.

Forcucci also coached up other 2019 CCC All-Conference Team Members, including David Collins (First Team Fullback), Jared Zieman (First Team Linebacker), Austin Ryan (Second Team Guard), Christian Perkins (Second Team Defensive Line), and Carlos Roche (Second Team Defensive Line). Ryan was also presented the 2019-2020 Becker College Senior Male Athlete of the Year Award at the end of the academic year.

Academically, another of Forcucci's defensive anchors, Class of 2020 graduate Ryan Gries, was named to the 2019 CoSIDA Academic All-District Football team. Gries, and his fellow classmate Robert Pellerin, were later named to the Hampshire Honor Society by the National Football Foundation for their accomplishments in the classroom and on the field.

Under his leadership, Coach Forcucci has developed and implemented the defensive package, which lead to several program records in his first season at Becker College, including:

  • #1 in sacks in the ECFC
  • #1 in TFLs in the ECFC
  • #10 in TFLs in DIII nationally
  • #1 in pass defense in the ECFC

Forcucci brings more than 25 years of coaching experience to Becker College.  Prior to his arrival in Leicester, Forcucci coached throughout the Northeast, including at the University of Massachusetts, Central Connecticut State University, Fordham University and Northeastern University.

Forcucci graduated from the University of New Haven in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science in Financial Accounting.  While at University of New Haven, Forcucci played all four years as a catcher and third basemen for the baseball team, including earning the title of the NCAA DII All-American.  During Forcucci’s four years on the team, the University of New Haven won four consecutive DII World Series Northeast Regional Championships.  Forcucci’s success in college led to an opportunity to play internationally for the Amsterdam Pirates Baseball Club as a third basemen, where he won the Holland Major League Championship in 1990.
