GAME SUMMARY

Hawks sophomore Colby Audette (Colchester, Vt.) broke a 1-1 tie midway through the second period with his first goal of the season.

Freshman Hunter Phillips (Randolph, Mass.) took advantage of a turnover in the neutral zone and entered the offensive zone with Audette alongside. Phillips feathered a saucer pass ahead to Audette, who received the pass perfectly and fired a wrister over the glove of junior Adam Carmen (Vestal, N.Y.) to give the Hawks a 2-1 advantage.

Just 1:44 later, Diamond scored his second of the night thanks to an offensive zone turnover by the Ravens.

Creative passing off that turnover by sophomore Luke James (Moon Township, Pa.) and senior Romain Wild (Mex, Switzerland) led to Diamond scoring from the top of the crease and giving the Hawks a 3-1 lead.

Becker senior Phillip Garcia (Bronx, N.Y.) added further insurance in the early third period on a power-play goal. A goal that developed from behind the net, a pass by sophomore Mikey Wilson (Alexandria, Va.) that found Garcia at the top of the left circle. Garcia gathered the puck and fired through a screen and beat Carmen on the glove side for a 4-1 lead.

It was Diamond that broke into the scoring column for the Hawks late in the first period to give Becker a 1-0 lead.

The Hawks won a puck battle in the right-wing corner and from behind the goal line, James found Diamond in the slot, who controlled the puck with the forehand before moving to his backhand and scoring a highlight-reel goal to give the Hawks a 1-0 lead.

Franklin Pierce tied the game early in the second period on the first goal of the season by junior Chris Stevenson (Arvada, Colo.).

A pass from behind the Hawks goal by sophomore Conor Foley (Nahunt, Mass.) set up the goal as Stevenson received the puck in the slot and was able to fire a shot past LoRusso's blocker to even the score, 1-1.
