GAME SUMMARY
After two scoreless periods, the Hawks broke through for the only goal of the night at 2:33 of the third period on Reaugh's second goal of the season.
Becker sustained heavy pressure in the offensive zone prior to the early third-period goal. Prior to the goal, Reaugh and freshman Amy MacGlashing (Marlborough, Mass.) had a few chances from the side of the goal but were stopped by Pilgrims junior goalie Cianna Weir (Olds, Alberta, Canada).
After the goal-side scrum, the puck was partially cleared toward the point and quickly moved by Hawks junior Kylian Kelly (Shrewsbury, Mass.) to junior Julia Ravenelle (Barrington, N.H.).
Ravenelle rotated to the top of the slot and fired a wrist shot on goal that was tipped by and between the legs of Reaugh and over the glove of Weir to put Becker ahead 1-0.
In the final minute, the Pilgrims pulled Weir from the goal for a 6-on-5 advantage and had their best chance come from sophomore Cassandra Kelly (Alexandria, Va.) with 45 seconds left.
Cassandra Kelly found some room at the right-wing dot of the Hawks offensive zone, but Ravenelle rotated from the middle of the slot to block her attempt on goal, preserving the 1-0 Hawks win.
FOR THE HAWKS
- Lee made 25 saves on the night to record her third career shutout to move into a tie for second place for most shutouts in Hawks program history. The win moves her to 2-2-0 this season.
- Becker finished with 48 shots on goal, led by junior Clare Conway (Billerica, Mass.) and sophomore Cassidhe Wozniak (Turners Falls, Mass.) each with eight shots on net.
FOR THE PILGRIMS
- Weir made 47 saves on the night, matching a season high. The loss moves Weir to 0-4-1 on the year.
- Freshman Emily Lenzen (Littleton, Colo.) finished with a team-high five shots on goal.
