Jess Salisbury joins the Hawks for her first season in 2020-21, serving as an assistant coach for the program.
Salisbury joins the Becker bench after three seasons with the Johnson & Wales University Wildcats (NCAA DIII/NEHC) serving as an assistant coach for two seasons and head coach for one season. While at JWU, Salisbury aided the team to a pair of Quarterfinal and one Semifinal NEHC tournament appearances and led the team to a program-best 11-10-4 regular-season record in the 2019-20 season.
Salisbury was a four-year member of the women’s ice hockey team at UMass Boston. She played in 78 contests and helped the Beacons to a trio of semifinals appearances in the Women’s ECAC East Tournament.
At UMB, Salisbury served as a student manager for both of the Beacons’ men’s and women’s ice hockey programs. She also served as a supervisor at the UMB Student-Athlete Success Center. She has coached at the Rhode Island Sting Goal Medal camp.
A native of North Smithfield, R.I., Salisbury was a two-time All-State Selection at North Smithfield High School. A two-year team captain, she helped the Northmen to a pair of league championships.
Salisbury graduated from UMass Boston in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in American Studies.
