GAME SUMMARY

A four-run, top of the second by the Hawks thanks to RBIs from freshman Carter Jackman (Kanab, Utah) and senior Noah Rivera (New Bedford, Mass.) put the Hawks in front early 4-1.

The lead was short-lived as the AMCATS scored six runs in the bottom of the second inning to take a 7-4 lead.

With a bases-loaded, junior Zac Genovezos (Fairhaven, Mass.) cleared the bases with a double down the left-field line to start the high-scoring inning and tie the game 4-4.

Later in the inning, Twitchell singled home Genovezos to take a 5-4 lead. The six-run inning was capped off with the help of a throwing error and wild pitch, allowing two more runs to score, giving Anna Maria a 7-4 edge.

A third-inning, two-RBI single by junior Kosta Drosidis (Holden, Mass.) and a fourth-inning, two-RBI single by Twitchell added to the Anna Maria lead.

AMCATS sophomore James Powers (Folsom, Calif.) added to the lead later in the fourth on a two-RBI double to right field, popping the lead to 13-4.
