GAME ONE: New England 17, Becker 7

New England College wasted no time, scoring five runs in the bottom of the first inning, as Logan Gadbois (Rochester, N.H.) scampered home on a passed ball before Tyler Gendron (Milford, N.H.) hit a three-run homerun. Harutaro Takahashi (Tokyo, Japan) made it 5-0 in the inning, as he scored on a passed ball.

Becker was able to answer in the top of the second, as Coby Hussey (Claremont, N.H) hit a three-run homerun of his own, as they plated five runs in the frame.

NEC regained the lead, as Garrett Langis (Rochester, N.H.) beat out an infield single, but the throw went wide and Langis made it all the way home. Rob Pagliuca (Saugus, Mass.) doubled home a pair of runs later on in the bottom of the third, making it 8-5. Langis struck again in the fourth with a solo homerun, making it 9-5 NEC, then Gendron drove in Connor Morin (North Andover, Mass.) with a single to left field. Luca Giallongo (Mt. Shasta, Calif.) picked up an RBI single in the top of the fifth, putting New England College 11-5.

The Hawks were able to get two runs in the top of the sixth, as Ethan Perry (Dartmouth, Mass.) drove in a pair with a double to right-center field. The Pilgrims responded in the bottom half of the frame, as they plated six runs in the sixth, with three coming via a bases-clearing double by Connor Richardson (Portsmouth, R.I.).

For Becker, Perry batted 2-for-3 with two RBI, while Kevin Santiago (New Bedford, Mass.) went 2-for-2, also with two RBI.  Hussey was the Hawks' RBI leader with three, marking his third home run on the season.

New England College's Gendron went 4-for-4 in game one with a game-high five RBI.  Richardson had three RBI.  Langis, Paglicula, and Giallongo each finished with two hits in game one.

GAME TWO: New England 2, Becker 1

Game two was a different story, as it was more of a pitching duel.  Becker's Joey Rego (Rumford, R.I.) pitched a complete-game and only allowed two NEC runs on six hits.

Morin got NEC on the board in the bottom of the first, as he doubled home Michael Ciccotelli (Rochester, N.H.).

Hussey tied the game at one in the top of the fourth, as he hit a solo homerun to left field. Tim Krol (East Longmeadow, Mass.) was able to win it for New England College, as he led off the top of the seventh with a pinch-hit walk-off solo homerun to win it.
