MILTON, Mass. – The Curry Colonels took both games of a doubleheader on Sunday afternoon, winning both games by one-run over the Becker Hawks.

GAME ONE: Curry 1 – Becker 0
Curry scored the game's lone run in the bottom of the third with junior Julian Jaume (Staten Island, N.Y.) singling with a base hit up the middle, scoring freshman Ryan Goonan (Raynham, Mass.) from second base.
The Hawks had a chance in the fifth to tie the game, but freshman Silas Thomas (Sequim, Wash.) was thrown out trying to score, leaving the Colonels leading 1-0.
Becker had two runners on in the seventh, but a ground out to the shortstop ended the Hawks changes as Curry took home the 1-0 win.
In the pitcher's duel, Colonels senior Zachary Wensley (Raynham, Mass.) pitched a complete game, allowing seven hits while striking out seven. Hawks junior Tevon Johnson (New Bedford, Mass.) went six innings for the Hawks, allowing three hits and striking out seven.

For Curry, Jaume, Goonan, and senior Jared Keller (Oxford, Conn.) each had a hit for the Colonels. Keller had a lead-off double in the second.
For Becker, senior Kevin Santiago (New Bedford, Mass.) batted 3-for-4, all singles. Senior Noah Rivera (New Bedford, Mass.) and freshman Anthony Conforti (Peabody, Mass.) both had a double.

GAME TWO: Curry 4 – Becker 3
The Colonels made a late-game comeback in the second game to sweep the Sunday doubleheader over Becker.
Curry trailed 3-2 entering the bottom of the eighth and led off the inning with a double to left field by junior Jacob Bishop (Taunton, Mass.). Later in the inning, the Colonels had runners on second and third that were knocked home on a two-RBI single by junior Jason Leonard (Dedham, Mass.) to give the Colonels a 4-3 lead.
The Hawks came up in the top of the ninth and had a runner on second with a chance to tie the game, but Conforti grounded out to the third baseman to end the game.
Becker put up three runs in the first inning thanks to a series of errors, passed balls, and wild pitches by the Colonels, but two-run innings in the fifth and eighth lifted Curry over Becker.

For Curry, senior Dylan Ketterer (Plymouth, Mass.) batted 2-for-5, including a fifth-inning double that drove in two runs. Leonard batted 1-for-3 with the game-leading, two-RBI single.
For Becker, Rivera batted 1-for-3 including a first-inning double. He later scored in that inning.
