LEICESTER, Mass. – Becker College's senior forward Lindsey Keith (Sutton, Mass.) has been named to the 2018 NCAA Division III Google Cloud Academic All-District® Women's Soccer First Team as voted on by College of Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) members on Thursday.
Keith is only the second Hawk ever (first female) to receive the CoSIDA Academic All-District® accolade.
The senior currently holds a 3.71 cumulative GPA as an Exercise Science major. She is also pursuing a minor in Psychology at the college.
Keith was stellar on the field in her final season with the Hawks. Keith broke Becker's all-time career goals record (74) and all-time career points record (173) this season. She also tied Becker's all-time single season goals and points records with 25 and 55, respectively. She has been in the top-five national rankings throughout the season in goals, points per game, and goals per game.
Keith, a four-time New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) All-Conference recipient, has also been recognized at the regional level, being named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Region team in 2017. She has been a two-year captain, and has also been nominated for the Leaders of Excellence and Athletic Pride Program.
"I think it's great for Lindsey to be recognized for her academics and to make the CoSIDA team adds to her many accomplishments while at Becker," commented Becker women's soccer head coach, Anthony Cosky. "She truly deserves this recognition because of her hard work in the classroom and her dedication on the field."
"She has been a great captain and leader for this team," said Cosky. "Lindsey had a great career on and off the field at Becker and I'm grateful to have the opportunity to coach her these past couple years."
Keith finishes with career totals of: 74 goals, 25 assists, 173 points and 17 game-winning goals, while going 6-for-7 on penalty kicks.
The 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-District® Soccer Teams are selected by CoSIDA, and recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the Google Cloud Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team (if necessary) Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in early December.
