GAME SUMMARY
The game was tied 1-1 until the 85th minute when Blazers sophomore Sam Landry (Agawam, Mass.) scored the eventual game-winning goal to go up 2-1.
The play started with sophomore Elaina Vilar (Watertown, Conn.) collecting a pass 10-yards from goal, toward the right post. Vilar fired a shot from close range that was parried away by Hawks sophomore goalie Olivia Sherwood (Southington, Conn.), but the rebound rolled toward the far post and was chipped into the back of the net by Landry, giving Elms the 2-1 lead.
Kelley got the scoring started in the game with her first goal of the shortened 2021 spring season, coming via a penalty kick.
The Hawks drew a foul in the left-side of the Blazers penalty area, giving Kelley a chance from the penalty spot. Kelley shot to her left and despite Blazers freshman goalie Hannah DelGuidice (Oakland, Maine) diving the right way, Kelley's shot was placed perfectly in the side netting, giving the Hawks a 1-0 lead.
That lead was short-lived, as a foul was called in the Hawks penalty area, this time giving the Blazers a penalty kick and an opportunity to tie the game.
Blazers sophomore Kayla Pasquel (North Attleboro, Mass.) came to the penalty spot and fired a shot to her right side. Although Sherwood dove to the correct side, Pasquel's shot found the side netting to tie the game 1-1.
FOR THE HAWKS
- Kelley's goal gives her 12 in her career. She finished the game with two shots.
- Whittier finished with two shots on goal while hitting the crossbar on two occasions on corner kicks.

FOR THE BLAZERS
