2019: In his senior campaign, the returning defensemen was arguably the team’s most consistent player as he played and started in all 19 games for the season. The fourth-year Douglas native showed true leadership and was selected as a captain in his final term with the Hawks. Gonzalez kicked it up a notch in his senior campaign as he recorded his first career assist as well as his first career goal where he nailed an absolute rocket from 30 yards out in a conference matchup against New England College. The captain was able to keep his cool this season as for the first time in his career he didn’t record a yellow card. Gonzalez’s hard work and efforts paid off as he was awarded the Team’s Defensive MVP award.
2018: Over his junior campaign, Gonzalez started all 17 games as a defender. He tallied 14 shots and posted a .571 shot on goal percentage.
2017: In his sophomore season, Gonzalez started in all 19 games as a defender. He totaled 11 shots.
2016: Started in all 18 games that he played for the Hawks while totaling 10 shots and posting .700 shots on goal percentage (7-10).
