New England Collegiate Conference Release

LEICESTER, Mass. – Hawks sophomore Lindsay Mitchell (Billerica, Mass.) pitched strongly for Becker in two appearances this week and has been named the New England Collegiate Conference Pitcher of the Week. As a result of her performance, Mitchell has also been named the Becker Athlete of the Week, for the week ending on April 4.

In two starts, Mitchell finished the week 1-1, including a victory in a 12-3 win over Eastern Nazarene on Friday. Her 1-1 week came with three strikeouts and an ERA of 2.47 while pitching 11.1 innings.

Mitchell has made six starts for the Hawks this season and is 3-3 with a 4.08 ERA in those appearances.

The Hawks went 1-3 in a four-game series against Eastern Nazarene to start the NECC schedule last week. Becker returns to the diamond on April 10 and 11 with another four-game series in the NECC, this time with Lesley.

The Lynx host on April 10 while the Hawks welcome Lesley to Russell Field on April 11.
