New England Collegiate Conference Release

LEICESTER, Mass. – Hawks freshman Jillana Stevens (Farmington, N.H.) had a solid week at the plate and has been named the New England Collegiate Conference Softball Rookie of the Week, for the week ending on April 11.

Stevens batted .418 this week, with four singles, a double, two RBI, and two runs scored. With her 5-for-12 week at the plate, Stevens is batting .318 on the year and has reached base safely in 12 straight games.

It is the second time this season Stevens has been named the Softball Rookie of the Week, having also won the honors for the week ending on March 28.

The Hawks split a four-game set with the Lesley Lynx over the weekend and sit at 3-5 in the NECC and 7-9 overall.

Next on the schedule is a four-game series with Elms College on April 17 and 18. The Hawks host on Saturday, starting at noon, at Russell Field. Becker then travels to Elms on Sunday with games starting at 1:00 p.m.
