LEICESTER, Mass. – Hawks junior Clare Conway (Billerica, Mass.) nearly broke numerous program records this week and has been named the New England Collegiate Conference Offensive Player of the Week and the Becker Athlete of the Week, for the week ending on April 25.

The NECC honor marks the second week-in-a-row that Conway has been named the NECC Offensive Player of the Week.

In three conference games, Conway finished with 16 goals and eight assists for 24 total points. She added 10 ground balls and 10 draw controls in wins over New England, Mitchell, and Elms.

In the Hawks win at Mitchell, Conway finished with a career-high 10 goals, becoming just the third player in team history to score at least 10 goals. She added five assists in the game for 15 total points. The 15 points were also a career-high for Conway and are the second-most points ever scored in a game in program history.

The 3-0 week in conference play helped the Hawks clinch the NECC Regular Season Crown and the No. 1 seed in the upcoming NECC Playoffs.

The postseason gets underway on Thursday as the top-seeded Hawks welcome the No. 4 seeded Mitchell Mariners to Alumni Field at 4:00 p.m. The winner of that match plays for the NECC Title on Sunday, May 2 against the winner of No. 2 New England and No. 3 Elms.
