Becker Hawks Director of Athletic Operations, Nikki Narducci, announced the hiring of Class of 2015 graduate Donovin Ford-Hayes as an Assistant Director of Athletic Operations, effective February 1, 2021.

Ford-Hayes joins the Hawks administrative staff by way of the NCAA Division III Ethnic Minority and Women’s Internship Grant; a fully funded, two-year program that is meant to give entry-level administrative positions to ethnic minority or women candidates interested in pursuing a career in collegiate athletic administration.

“We’re thrilled to have Donovin joining our staff in the Assistant Director of Athletic Operations role,” said Narducci. “As an alumnus, he brings a unique perspective to the Athletic Department. I am looking forward to him not only serving in the capacity as an Athletic Operations Assistant, but also using his background to assist with student-athlete initiatives on campus.”

Ford-Hayes comes to the Becker administrative staff following three years as the Sports Director of the Plaistow Community YMCA in New Hampshire. While working as Sports Director for Plaistow’s YMCA, Ford-Hayes was also an AAU Basketball Coach for Rivals Basketball Club and Owner/General Manager of the Plaistow Shockers Minor League Basketball Team.

“I am very pleased to accept the position of Assistant Director of Athletic Operations with Becker College,” said Ford-Hayes. “Knowing that this is the place where it all started, I am very eager to make a positive impact at the school that I graduated from and to work with everyone in the athletics department!”

Ford-Hayes joins the Becker staff with previous experience in collegiate athletics, having served as an Athletics Assistant in 2014-15 in his senior year at Becker. He also served as an assistant basketball coach at Newbury College in 2017.

While at Becker, Ford-Hayes played four seasons with the men’s basketball program, finishing with 1,049 career points, which ranks 10th all-time among Hawks student-athletes in the NCAA era. He was also a member of the 2011-12 Hawks team that won the New England Collegiate Conference Championship and made it to the Second Round of the NCAA Division III Basketball Tournament.

Ford-Hayes earned his master’s degree in Sports Management in June 2020 from Southern New Hampshire University.
