New England Collegiate Conference Release
LEICESTER, Mass. – Hawks junior Kylian Kelly (Shrewsbury, Mass.) has been named the New England Collegiate Conference Defensive Player of the Week, for the week ending on March 28 for her defensive presence for the Hawks to start their season.
In three games, Kelly totaled six ground balls, six caused turnovers, and 18 draw controls for the Hawks. She added a goal offensively during the week in a win over Anna Maria.
In that same win over Anna Maria, Kelly collected 10 draw controls for the second time in her career. Kelly is now just one of two players in program history with multiple games of at least 10 draw controls in her career, joining Tammy Mullen as the only other player to accomplish the feat.
The Hawks are off to a 1-2 start this season and return to play on Tuesday with a 4:00 p.m. game against Albertus Magnus.
