LEICESTER, Mass. – The Becker Hawks offense posted 20 goals on Thursday afternoon and are headed back to the New England Collegiate Conference Championship Game following their 20-4 Semifinal Round victory over the Mitchell Mariners in NECC Postseason play.

GAME SUMMARY
The Hawks were off and running in the opening 1:56, scoring two goals in the short span to lead 2-0. Juniors Clare Conway (Billerica, Mass.) and Julia Ravenelle (Barrington, N.H.) had the goals.
The Hawks added a third goal before Mitchell found the board on the first of the game by senior Lindsey Fairbank (Newington, Conn.) to cut the deficit to 3-1.
From that point, the Hawks scored four-in-a-row over a 6:04 span. Conway scored three of the goals in the run with Ravenelle scoring the other, as the Hawks led 7-1.
Mariners senior Hannah Corrigan (Fairfax, Vt.) scored next, cutting the deficit to 7-2, but the Hawks finished the half with the final eight goals, as Becker took a 15-2 into halftime.
Fairbank and Corrigan would score one more each for the Mariners while Hawks senior Arianna Calouro (East Providence, R.I.) scored three of the Hawks five goals of the second half, as Becker punched their ticket to the NECC Championship Game with the 20-4 victory.
FOR THE HAWKS
- Conway finished with eight goals and two assists. She added four ground balls on the afternoon.
- Ravenelle added six goals and three assists in the win.
- Junior Kylian Kelly (Shrewsbury, Mass.) had one goal, two assists, five ground balls, six draw controls, and four caused turnovers.
- Freshman goalie Chloe Isola (Oviedo, Fla.) made seven saves to move to 7-4 this season.
FOR THE MARINERS
- Fairbank and Corrigan both scored twice for the Mariners in the loss. Fairbank added a game-high seven ground balls.
- Sophomore Mariah Travisano (Putnam, Conn.) went for three ground balls, three draw controls, and two caused turnovers.
- Senior goalie Ashley Holdridge (Ledyard, Conn.) finished with five saves on the afternoon.
UP NEXT
The top-seeded Hawks head for the Championship Game and will host the No. 3 seed Elms College Blazers on Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. from Alumni Field. The Blazers punched their ticket to the Championship following a 12-11 win over the No. 2 New England College Pilgrims on Thursday.
