GAME SUMMARY

The Mariners were out to an early 2-1 lead thanks to a pair of goals in the opening 2:50 by Mariners senior Hannah Corrigan (Fairfax, Vt.). That lead was short-lived after the Hawks began to take control as they netted the seven goals to surge ahead.

Hawks junior Clare Conway (Billerica, Mass.) scored three times in the seven-goal run while senior Arianna Calouro (East Providence, R.I.) and junior Julia Ravenelle (Barrington, N.H.) combined for the other four, each scoring twice, as the Hawks led 8-2.

Mitchell cut the deficit to 8-3 with the help of senior Lindsay Fairbank (Newington, Conn.) scoring her first of the afternoon.

Following Fairbank's goal, the next 13 goals belonged to Becker, scored between the first and second half over a span of nearly 39 minutes.

Calouro, Conway, and Ravenelle accounted for 11 of the Hawks 13 goals in that scoring run while senior Molly Priestly (Bellingham, Mass.) and sophomore Amber Lee (Nashua, N.H.) accounted for the other two, as the Hawks took command with a 21-3 lead.

Fairbank would add two more while Conway finished off the scoring in the game, as the Hawks cruised to a 22-5 win.

FOR THE HAWKS

  • Conway finished with 10 goals and five assists for 15 points on the afternoon. The 10 goals are a career-high as she becomes only the third player in team history to score at least 10 goals in a game. The 15 points are also a career-high and are tied for the second-most in a game in program history.
  • Calouro and Ravenelle each scored five times on the day. Calouro also had five assists and eight ground balls to mark new career-highs. Ravenelle added four assists, five grounds balls, five draw controls and four caused turnovers.
  • Freshman Chloe Isola (Oviedo, Fla.) made nine stops for the Hawks, improving to 5-4 with her fourth consecutive win.

FOR THE MARINERS

  • Fairbank finished with a hat trick for the third time in the last four games for the Mariners. She added seven draw controls and three ground balls.
  • Corrigan scored a pair for Mitchell to go with four draw controls, two ground balls, and two caused turnovers.
  • Senior goalie Ashley Holdridge (Ledyard, Conn.) made nine saves but falls to 0-5 with the loss.
