Kylian Kelly Earns Second-Straight NECC Defensive Player of the Week Honor

New England Collegiate Conference Defensive Player of the Week (April 4) Hawks junior Kylian Kelly

New England Collegiate Conference Release

LEICESTER, Mass. – Hawks junior Kylian Kelly (Shrewsbury, Mass.) filled up the stat sheet on Saturday afternoon at Elms and has been named the New England Collegiate Conference Defensive Player of the Week, for the week ending on April 4.

It's the second consecutive week that Kelly has been named the NECC's Defensive Player of the Week.

In the opening game of the NECC schedule for the Hawks, Kelly again showed her overall abilities on defense, finishing with game-highs of six caused turnovers and five draw controls. Kelly also added two ground balls.

Offensively, Kelly added a team-high three goals, recording her second career hat trick in the 8-7 loss at Elms last Saturday.

The Hawks are 1-3 to start the season and await another NECC game on April 9 as the Mitchell Mariners are set to come to Alumni Field for a 4:00 p.m. game.
