HENNIKER, N.H. – The Becker Hawks scored the first nine goals of the match, providing the offense needed to defeat the New England Pilgrims, 15-12, on Tuesday night in New England Collegiate Conference play.

GAME SUMMARY
Becker owned the early portions of the game, looking like they were on their way to a blowout win, scoring the first nine goals of the game over 21:46 in the first half.
Junior Clare Conway (Billerica, Mass.) started the scoring run for the Hawks just 1:37 into the game, one of her three goals for Becker in the opening 9-0 run.
Junior Julia Ravenelle (Barrington, N.H.) provided four of the Hawks nine goals to start the game, including the last two of the scoring run, as the Hawks controlled the game at 9-0.
The Pilgrims would break into the scoring column with 7:32 remaining in the half with freshman Nathalie Antigua (North Brunswick, N.J.) scoring her first of three goals in the final minutes of the first half.
Conway and senior Arianna Calouro (East Providence, R.I.) capped off the scoring in the half as the Hawks led 11-4 at the half.
New England College would make their attempt at a comeback after halftime, scoring the first three goals of the second half, including two from junior Lauren Rich (Plaistow, N.H.), as the Pilgrims cut the deficit to 11-7.
Conway responded with two goals while Rich added two more onto the Pilgrims total, as the Hawks maintained their four-goal lead, 13-9.
The Pilgrims could only get as close as three goals with 2:10 remaining, as the Hawks saw out their three-goal win, 15-12.
FOR THE HAWKS
- Junior Kylian Kelly (Shrewsbury, Mass.) set a school record with 17 draw controls in the victory. It's the third time in her career that Kelly has had at least 10 draw controls in a single game.
- Conway finished the night with six goals and two assists. She added four ground balls in the win.
- Ravenelle scored four goals, all in the first half, and added two assists for the Hawks.
- Freshman Chloe Isola (Oviedo, Fla.) made seven saves and improves to 2-4 with the win.
FOR THE PILGRIMS
- Antigua and Rich each scored five goals for NEC in the loss. Rich added nine draw controls and a caused turnover.
- Senior Alexandria Safford (Burnt Hills, N.Y.) scored two goals on three shots on goal.
- Freshman Carleigh Knotts (Dover, Del.) made eight saves for the Pilgrims but falls to 1-2 in the loss.

The Hawks continued their NECC schedule on Thursday, hosting Mitchell at Alumni Field at 4:00 p.m. The Pilgrims press on with a non-conference game tomorrow against Colby-Sawyer at 4:00 p.m.
