New England Collegiate Conference Release
LEICESTER, Mass. – Hawks junior Kylian Kelly (Shrewsbury, Mass.) continued her dominance in defensive situations while still contributing to the Hawks offense. As a result, Kelly has been named the New England Collegiate Conference Defensive Player of the Week and the Becker Athlete of the Week, for the week ending on April 18.
On the defensive end, Kelly finished the week with 15 draw controls, 10 ground balls, and seven caused turnovers in a pair of victories against New England College and Mitchell.
Offensively, Kelly scored one goal and added two assists in both wins for the Hawks over the Pilgrims and Mariners, finishing the week with six points on two goals and four assists.
The Defensive Player of the Week Honors are Kelly's third of the season in just five weeks of awarding the weekly honor.
The Hawks return to play today against New England College at 6:00 p.m. and then play again on Tuesday at Mitchell at 4:00 p.m., followed by Senior Day on Sunday, April 25 against Elms at noon.
