LEICESTER, Mass. --- Senior guard Cassidy Harrison (Foxborough, Mass. / Foxborough) of the Becker College women's basketball team has been named the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Player of the Week for the week ending January 26, 2020.

Harrison had a week for the ages in this past week, averaging 23.3 points per game on 46.4 percent shooting over three games with 4.7 steals, 4.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists.

The senior team captain opened her week leading the Hawks to a 70-56 win at Elms. Then on Thursday, Harrison exploded for 32 points (matching a career high) in Becker's upset-bid at New England College. During the game, Harrison became just the second Hawk in the history of the program to reach 1500 career points, reaching the milestone on a two-point jumper with 6:06 to go in the second quarter. Finally on Saturday, Harrison led the Hawks with 24 points as the team cruised to a 78-49 win over Bay Path.

Harrison, with 1539 career points, trails only former Becker great Beth Pion (1625 points) on the school's all-time career scoring list. At press time, Harrison ranked eighth in the nation among all active players in career points.

Harrison was likewise named the Becker Athlete of the Week for the same period. The senior team captain has been so recognized seven times throughout her storied career.
